:about me
I am a post doctoral researcher at the Computational Linguistics Lab at Uppsala University, working with Joakim Nivre and colleagues on challenges pertaining to the automatic linguistic analysis of different languages using statistical methods in a data-driven setup.
Before coming to Uppsala, I defended my PhD at the Institute for Logic Language and Computation (ILLC), at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). My PhD project "Integrated Morphological and Syntactic Ambiguity Resolution for Modern Hebrew" was supervised by Remko Scha and Khalil Simaan, and funded by NWO Mozaiek grant 017.001.271. In my PhD dissertation, titled "Relational-Realizational Parsing", I developed a statistical parsing model that is suited for languages with free word-order and rich morphosyntax. In my M.Sc of Logic master's thesis, also defended at the ILLC, UvA, I was concerned with "The Semantics of Aspect in Modern Hebrew" and the role the verbal morphological templates (binyanim) play there. The thesis work was supervised by Michiel van Lambalgen.
Prior to that, I completed my B.Sc. at the Computer Science Department at the Technion -- Israel Institute of Technology, and worked as a software engineer at Intel Israel Ltd.
